Come visit Ghana!
Noth only will you have fun helping at the school, you will also experience one of West Africa's most vibrant cultures. Helping out in the school is only part of the fun you'll have on a trip to Anmhcara.
You'll experience the busy city of Accra (and its traffic) then travel west along the coast to the famous Volta delta. When you aren't helping in the school you can take in the town of Tema or head down the coast to Maranatha Beach Camp.
You can also try out Ghanaian cuisine with such specials as Banku, Jollof Rice or, the most fresh mango you've ever tasted!
Either way, you will have a rewarding new experience and make new friends.
Open to: Everybody willing to help out.
Duties:
We generally try and let people do whatever they are good at.. If you're organised and good with computers, you can help in the office. If you'd prefer to help with DIY and be outside, you can do what.
Either way, it's a busy school and there's no shortage of things that need to be done. You can help with the general administration of the school such as coordinating projects, assisting with some class work (or PE) - there is always someone looking to play football, read or just hang out.

1 week - unlimited
Costs:
Room & Board are provided within walking distance of the school: €TBC
Raised Funds:
Before you come over, we ask all volunteers to raise a minimum of €800 (this is in addition to your room and board which the school does not profit from). We will be happy to help you organise this, more volunteers usually find they easily raise more than this amount.
Upon completion:
Volunteers will receive a certificate of completion signed by the school Director outlining your contribution.
Open to: Part and Fully qualified teachers
Duties:
Volunteer Teachers can partake in all the duties of a General Volunteer if they wish.
You also can assist to teach the students at the level you have qualified in.
If you are comfortable, you can teach entire classes(while supervised) following the Ghanaian syllabus.

4 weeks - 12 weeks (term depending)
